Key signatures, Sharp and Flat key order, Circle of 5ths.
Music Reading:
Understanding and performing the 8th-note Triplet in drills and music notation. Reading a Chord Melody. Prepatory exercises and a full piece (32 bars).
Fingerstyle Guitar:
Fingerpicking through an arpeggiated 16-bar chord progression. Applying the “Free-Stroke,” technique.
Rhythm Studies:
Clap and play assignments with the 8th-note triplet in the “Shuffle” rhythm feel. Working with syncopated 8th-notes in straight-time alongside the shuffle rhythm.
Fingerboard Harmony:
Working with Major and Minor “Pattern #2” chord voicings, (5th string root barre chords). Chord progression practice studies. Original chord progression exercise.
