Fingerpicking for Ambient Guitar
Performing two-finger plucking (also often called traditional American Fingerpicking) involves the thumb and first two fingers of the strum/picking hand. There is much to be said for the clarity gained in using this approach. Certain styles (such as Ambient Guitar) are wonderful examples of the beautiful sound achieved in applying this approach.

Phrasing lines is quite often one of the most misunderstood and confusing areas of musical development. Lines, whether improvised or composed, need to flow seamlessly from one musical statement into another. The art of perfecting phrasing can take many years, and many hours of study to truly master.
