Triad and Seventh Arpeggio Melodies
Mixing triad arpeggios with seventh chord arpeggios is an easy way to introduce some very cool sounds into your playing. Whether composing or improvising, these blended arpeggios will target the tones of each chord through the measures of a progression. When the notes which operate as the roots for the chords of a progression leave the key signature, we have displacement. Oftentimes, players who are unfamiliar with this concept become extremely confused by the appearance of these chords. In the video I explain the most common displaced intervals and offer several examples as well.

Performing any kind of Double-stop lick provides us with a snappy, percussive sound. But, when the lick is performed laterally, along the neck, we achieve a lot of momentum with the added movement to the line. In this lesson, I discuss the technique, as well as, the guitar theory involved with both creating and with using lateral Double-stops on the guitar.
