Triad and Seventh Arpeggio Melodies
Mixing triad arpeggios with seventh chord arpeggios is an easy way to introduce some very cool sounds into your playing. Whether composing or improvising, these blended arpeggios will target the tones of each chord through the measures of a progression. The video uses plenty of examples to show just how easy this concept is to apply.

When the notes which operate as the roots for the chords of a progression leave the key signature, we have displacement. Oftentimes, players who are unfamiliar with this concept become extremely confused by the appearance of these chords. In the video I explain the most common displaced intervals and offer several examples as well.

One of the most difficult jobs for a rhythm guitarist can be arranging harmonies for a pre-existing melody. This skill requires the ability to use key signature theory, harmonic analysis and chord substitutes. In the lesson, I discuss several ways to develop these skills. On screen theory, combined with live performance examples, will cover methods for gaining the necessary skills to Match Chords to Melodies.

Performing any kind of Double-stop lick provides us with a snappy, percussive sound. But, when the lick is performed laterally, along the neck, we achieve a lot of momentum with the added movement to the line. In this lesson, I discuss the technique, as well as, the guitar theory involved with both creating and with using lateral Double-stops on the guitar.
