LESSON 007 – PART TWO
EXERCISE #2).
Four Tone Chords – Hybrid Study Riffs:
Exercise two studies the techniques and method for Hybrid plucking four-tone chords. The examples that are shown are in the key of “A Minor.” Both exercises operate within a triple-meter time signature of 6/8.
In exercise 2a, a four-tone chord riff is applied within a series of chords that sit predominantly between the 5th to 2nd strings.
The riff in example 2b, once again operates within a 4-tone structure. This time the riff is exclusive to strings 4th to 1st and the riff applies a pedal off of the open 4th string “D.”
